Your first session is a chance for us to get to know each other. We'll talk about what brings you in, your goals, and any questions or concerns you have. There's no pressure, just a supportive, confidential space to begin. You will complete your intake paperwork prior to the session.

Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) is a structured, evidence-informed psychotherapy that integrates elements from established therapeutic approaches while emphasizing rapid symptom reduction. The intervention utilizes guided eye movements in combination with a technique known as Voluntary Image Replacement (VIR), which aims to modify the way distressing memories are encoded and stored. This process reduces the intensity of associated physiological and emotional responses without requiring extensive verbal processing of the traumatic material.

Individuals experiencing persistent intrusive imagery, distressing emotional states, or a sense of psychological stagnation. It may be particularly beneficial for those who have not achieved adequate symptom relief through traditional talk therapies, as well as individuals who are new to psychotherapy or prefer a modality that does not require detailed disclosure of traumatic experiences.

Not everyone is an appropriate candidate for Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART). The treatment requires functional visual capacity, as it relies on guided eye movements; individuals with certain vision impairments may therefore be ineligible.

ART is most effective for individuals with a history of trauma, although it can also be used to address other psychological conditions. Those unsure about whether ART is suitable for them are encouraged to seek professional consultation to assess appropriateness and explore treatment options.
